On April 28, CHS juniors and seniors left school early to get dressed up in preparation for prom that evening. The seniors were preparing for their final dance as Clarksburg students, while most juniors were preparing for their first prom experience. The event happened at the Marriott Hotel at the Rio Washingtonian Center with roughly 400 people in attendance.

“Prom was the best night of my life! I’m most definitely going next year,” junior Pamela Fuentes said.

The theme for this years prom was red carpet. As soon as the students arrived to prom they received a “thousand dollar bill” to be used at the many different gambling tables in the room. Different teachers acted as the floor men while students gambled the night away. For students that did not take interest in gambling, there was a photo booth and backdrop for everyone to capture the memories from the night.

Following prom was post-prom, back at CHS. Post prom consisted of catered IHOP for a late breakfast and music. There was also a variety of raffles for students to win. There were approximately 40 people that attended post prom which ended at 3 a.m.
