Gardening is a past-time loved by many around the world. As well as providing exercise and boosting energy levels, gardening can have a multitude of additional benefits regardless of your age. Whether you have your own private garden or you have to make do with an allotment, get outdoors and start taking advantage of the mental and physical benefits offered to you by gardening.

One of the major benefits of gardening is that it’s been proven to improve mental health; and in a world where around 121 million people worldwide have been diagnosed as clinically depressed (according to the World Health Organisation), it’s important to remain in touch with nature and the outdoors, especially with technology advancing and ‘taking over our lives at its current rate.
